Suzanne Axelsson works as a pedagogical consultant using listening and philosophy with children as tools to improve democratic play and learning spaces in early childhood education. She also works part time on the preschool teacher training program at Stockholm University. Suzanne has a master’s in ECE and has traveled globally to hold keynotes, workshops, consultations and visit EY settings. She writes on her blog, Interaction Imagination, about play, listening, neurodiversity, and sustainability and curates the Facebook group “The Original Learning Approach.” She is published in English, Swedish, Croatian, Turkish, and Italian in books about play and education, as well as pedagogical magazines.
Being Autistic and a mother of three autistic children, Suzanne always takes into consideration an intersectional perspective in her writing. For Suzanne, inclusion means that all children feel a sense of belonging and are offered the opportunity to participate, unhurried, to reach their full potential.
