I have been an early childhood educator for over 17 years. I absolutely love children and have a passion for teaching. However, there are many times I question myself and my skills to do a great job with kids. Some of this is my personality and some of it due to criticism from others. This last year I was able to read a book that literally gave me permission to let go of this doubt and remember that I am where I am because of the gift I give children. The Comfort of Little Things is exactly that. A book that shows the reader that we, as the adult, must give ourselves second chances and let go of negativity and move forward, much like what we teach the children in our lives to do! It is a book about self care that every early childhood educator should read. I highly recommend this book and give it a huge thumbs up!
