About the Author:
Georgine Jacobs, MS, has been a professional in the field of early childhood education for over 30 years. She has a BS in education, with a major in early childhood education from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and a master's degree in elementary educational administration from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Georgine has served as the Lower School director of the Brownell-Talbott College Preparatory School in Omaha, site manager of the UW-Madison Pre-School Lab, family literacy coordinator for Verona Area Schools in Wisconsin, and director of educational services for Head Start in Dane County, Wisconsin. She wrote A Home for Tamara, a children's book describing the life of a homeless child that has been utilized by many Head Start programs. Georgine is an active board member of her local NAEYC affiliate and currently teaches at Kids Express Learning Center in Madison with specializations in gardening, nature, and art programming for toddlers and preschoolers.
